Closing the health gap for children in poor countries requires a team effort.

Governments can’t do it alone. Neither can visionary and skilled donor nations and agencies. Businesses and the financial markets have an important role to play. So do not-for-profit and civil society organizations.

All these groups and more came together to form the GAVI Alliance in 2000. With the creation of the Immunize Every Child Campaign in 2007, individual investors are joining forces.

The resulting partnership has designated four strategic goals:

  • Strengthen the capacity of health systems to deliver immunization and other health services.
  • Accelerate the uptake of underused and new vaccines.
  • Increase the predictability of long-term financing for immunization programs.
  • Increase the added value of GAVI as a public-private global health partnership through efficiency, advocacy, and innovation.

The world’s foremost actors in global health, public and private, participate in and empower our alliance. Effective teamwork solves problems no one could tackle alone.
